SANMAN Selects our 2025 Cohort

The SANMAN Foundation is ecstatic to introduce artists Phalyn Honora, Kaelyn Provost, and Corey De'Jaun Sherrard Jr. as the new artists-in-residency for 2025.

Phalyn Honora is an artist who specializes in experimental photography and digital media. Focusing on the existential and sociological, she uses her observations of her inner and external world to create. Her abstract understanding of the world and her deep investment in incorporating social activism and commentary to inspire change within her community influences her work.

Kaelyn Provost is a Houston based visual artists who creates abstract works with oil paint and pastels. An artist who's pieces draw on the need for self-restoration in order to improve the physical and spiritual well-being of oneself. Kaelyn experiments with light, composition, and color theory to reflect the co-existing nature of the conscious and subconscious body.

Corey De'Juan Sherrard Jr. is a multidisciplinary artists who uses paintings, maps, and sound to connect the proximity of cities. Through his unique visual system he actualizes a political motif that answers to the deficit of radical black objectives in popular black music. These songs that are based off of said process are arranged to be embessished and reconstructed for live performances. Alongside exploring these methods, Sherrard seeks to extend his practice into works paying homage to the saxonphone. He has engaged in generating saxophone studies materializing the texture of the saxophone's tonality, history, and black cultural impact in mediums such as clay, paint, photography and sound recordings.

Our goal with this initiative is to provide dedicated and talented artists the space and tools needed to produce and promote their work.
