The See A Need-Meet A Need Foundation is thrilled to announce an open call for the 2025 SANMAN Artist Residency in partnership with FLATS, an artist-run photography space. Applications are open to artists working in all types of media, with one spot reserved for a lens-based artist. Three artists will be selected, and the application period is from December 11,2024 to January 15, 2025. This residency is a dynamic initiative created to empower emerging talent throughout Houston's vibrant arts scene.

This residency cycle, we are partnering with FLATS, which is located in the heart of Houston's Montrose area. The one photo/lens-based artist will have access to their 24-hour photo lab and community darkroom.

All three artists will work within a shared studio space at SANMAN Studios. Here they will connect and create alongside their peers, allowing them the opportunities to work with diverse mediums and collaborate with each other.
